Did you know there is a growing trend of accounting firms sending their clients compliance work, along with all their personal information, overseas for processing without full disclosure to the client. I can’t imagine too many local business owners being happy about this and you can bet that their accounting fees haven’t reduced either. Also, many accountants in Australia have lost their jobs because of this growing trend, myself included.
Legislation hasn’t caught up with the times, but in my opinion, it’s a can of worms waiting to be opened.
